Briefing from ATA

Coal supply is capped at forty per minute, but the steel order is sixty. Standard steel cannot meet it. Switch the foundry to Solid Steel Ingot and add two iron smelters upstream. You have sixty iron ore per minute. Keep the coal connection and connect the smelters to the new ingot input. Whole machines at one hundred percent clock are enough.

Mission constraints

  • Coal: 40/min available
  • Iron Ore: 60/min available
  • Available recipes: Alternate: Solid Steel Ingot, Iron Ingot, Steel Ingot.
  • Available buildings: Foundry, Smelter.
  • Par time: 4:00 · a guide, not a deadline
  • Clock limit: 100%. Every goal can be met with whole machines at 100%. No fractional counts or precise clock tuning needed.
  • Remove obsolete machines, or change their recipe. An idle old recipe still counts as an unfinished retrofit.
  • No Somersloops.
  • Output targets count surplus available after your factory's own consumption.

Need a nudge?

Hint 1

Solid Steel Ingot consumes iron ingots. Insert a smelter group between the iron ore source and the foundry.

Hint 2

Use two iron smelters and one Solid Steel foundry at 100%. The smelters can supply 60 ingots/min; the foundry needs only 40, together with 40 coal, to produce 60 steel.
